Hi. My name is Martin.
I got my first Atari 520ST with about 18 years in 1985/86, now I'm 54. In 2001 I started to get interested in Atari STs again and initiated the EmuTOS project. I worked on it together with some other great guys till about 2004 and was very happy to see it reaching version 1.0 in 2020.
Currently I refurbish some 520 and 1040 STs. I feel more addicted to the older models with these nice 64 DIP sockets where you can plug in so many expansions so easily.
When I program, it's mostly C or Bash. I dislike using Git so much that every time I need it, I forget again how it works. And when I do code something, it's usually something no one really needs. Maybe it's because I mostly enjoy programming more than using the software later.
I live in Augsburg, am happily married, I really don't like sports at all, not even on TV. Really, not at all! I like cycling and do less and less drive car and I am also a fan of energy saving.
Martin

Hi & welcome to the forum!
I'm using EmuTOS more & more nowadays, so a massive thank you for getting that project started in the first place!

I dislike GIT for just the same reasons. I keep wondering why it's named after a British colloquialism for a person who is what the Americans would call "an arse hole".
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Maybe a reflection on the perceived ease of use?stephen_usher wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 9:39 pm I dislike GIT for just the same reasons. I keep wondering why it's named after a British colloquialism for a person who is what the Americans would call "an arse hole".
