is there a way to make an actual mountlist to add any partitions that you have on the ehide device, Just as an alternative to using loadmodule in the startup which would obviously reboot the machine on cold boot, I only use the additional IDE for backups and would prefer just to mount it as needed.
Anyone ?
thanks in advance

Re: ehide device mountlist
To mount partitions or drives, the Amiga must be able to see the drive
To see the drive, the Amiga needs to have ehide.device
To have ehide.device, it must be in the ROM or loaded into memory by LoadModule command.
So, no, not the way you want to do it. ehide.device has got to be in memory first.

There is actually a way to do it.
Download http://aminet.net/disk/misc/Mounter.lha and run it like this:
run <>NIL: mounter ehide.device 0
This will load the driver and mount all the devices on the bus, but of course after reboot they will be gone.
