TF1260 MMULib

Post by Lamaman1971 »

Hi Folks, after reading through John's guide on the 1260 I understand I need to install the MMULib - but wanted to ask about the installer options and what I should be selecting to correctly complete the installation on OS3.2 - its asking me questions that I am not sure what the optimal answers are - aside from the defaults!

Cheers

Ok, what questions are you being asked that you are unsure about. Post them up here...

Ok, I'm installing this on 3.2.1 to accommodate an LC TF1260 :

1. Do you use a Phase 5 accelerator board : I assume the answer is a resounding "No"
2. Do I have an older ACA Board : Again, I assume the answer is "No"
3. Do I have a GVP 040 or 060 Board : Again, "No"

"Please pick the MuTools I want to install"
I assume just the defaults - MUFastROM, MuScan and MMU.guide (because I will be reading that)

"Shall I run MuFastRom on Startup?
Who knows - probably yes as it has the word "fast" in it and who doesnt like that eh?

"Run FastIEEE on startup"?
Again, it says fast. However, from experience there is nothing fast about the IEEE.

Hope that explains things a wee bit better!

Yes go with what you have selected

Yes too with Mufastrom as it will map your rom so a speedup !
FastIEEE is already suported in later Amiga OS so it will not matter even if you select it
