OK, so I'm starting to get serious about the OSI 600D Superboard build now:
I have started build boxes for the parts. Doesn't look much I know, but the keyswitches arrived yesterday, and I've started to get the sockets together. I also have a high quality pic of a built and working board that will help a lot with assembly, especially since I already know that the silk screen is 180 degrees out for a lot, if not all, of the IC's.
BoM is now printed out, so I need to start going through my stocks of parts to see what I have in stock and what I need to buy.
My main problem at the moment is the keycaps. I have a source in the US who has some, but responses to questions are a bit slow, but it may be down to Christmas, so I'll try again in January.
Luckily I am also in contact with the guy I bought the board off, and he's been super helpful, so should be a fun build

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
I foresee lots of soldering in your future.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
Well, minor progress, I have all the missing sockets on order, and tomorrow I hope to raid my spares drawer for some of the parts I know I need to get.
Annoyingly there are some logic ICs that I'll need 2 of, and I know I only have 1, but I can figure out what's left once I know what I actually have.
One big thing though, is the order of the keycaps. That is now in, though it wasn't cheap, but I think it'll be worth it in the end.

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
Seems I'm a numpty and forgot to specify wide 24 pin sockets and ended up with narrow ones Correct sockets are on order now, but I think I'm going to start assembly of what I have and then work out what's left to get.
I have a bunch of diodes and caps etc on the way so I can start to slowly get things built and don't have to do too much all in one sitting.

Re: OSI 600D Superboard Build
Well, parts are trickling in and I've just ordered the RAM and ROMs, Hopefully I can start building some time this weekend.

More good news - the keycaps are on their way from the US.
Better get soldering with what I have!
