So my hard drive woes continue. I got my hands on an SD2SCSI V5.2 adapter. I've tried all sorts of settings but the device is just not visible on the SCSI bus. The ST boot immediately off the floppy. When I hook up the original hard drive it works just fine.
Wondering if anyone out there is using a SD2SCSI and one of these original SCSI to ASCI adapters. What settings work for you?

If I were you, I'd start off by looking at how the termination is set on the S2SCSI adapter.

That's the first place I looked. It uses resistor packs but it is software controlled. I've disabled, reenabled. nothing. When I use a real drive and SCSI termination is not set it still sees something. This just does not detect anything on the bus.

Re: SD2SCSI and ICD adapter (Mega ST2)
How have you set up the SCSI target in the software? Enabled 'SCSI Target' under 'Device 1' ? Tried with smaller size drives then 1GB? I would also uncheck the 'Enable parity' in general menu. Make sure the SCSI ID is set to something other then the ICD card is set to. Don't forget to save.
(Try enable/check 'Map LUNs to SCSI ID' as well)

When it is the internal tiny icd hostadapter than there is a limit to 1GB I think ...

Re: SD2SCSI and ICD adapter (Mega ST2)
Solved! Best post this incase anyone else has this issue.
The Micro ICD adapter requires Termination Power to PIN 26 on the SCSI port. To enable this on the V5 board there is JP201 and D205 both of which are empty. Had to solder the pin header on JP201 for the jumper. D205 is for a surface mount diode, which I didn't have. So I just pulled a through hole diode from another circuit board and soldered it. Please don't judge my hack job, maybe one day I'll fix it up right.
As soon as I did that the SCSI2SD adapter was detected.
I'm thinking this is the same issue with the BlueSCSI. Exact same symptoms and as far as I can see the BS has no option for Termination Power.
Anyway, now to configure some drives.
