It is an ATAPI device not a ATA and so there would need to be ATAPI drivers for internal IDE controller. Maybe with Wizzo IDEFS ROM?rubber_jonnie wrote: Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:59 am I am now wondering if the A5000 would take an internal ZIP Drive?

Just received this little marvel:
Can't wait to fit it, but it will be for a bit later...

Is that a 25MHz ARM3 CPU upgrade?

Re: Archie A3000 inbound
Just a quick update, but a nice one.
Had a day off today and was in the mood to fit the ARM3 upgrade in my A3000:
MEMC1 chip removed and solder pads cleaned.
Socket fitted.
ARM2 removed and solder pads cleaned.
Socket fitted.
ARM3 fitted and MEMC1 chip fitted back in its socket.
Good ! Nothing's broken and everything works.
What a difference in responsiveness... It's day and night.

Socketing the MEMC? Are you thinking 8MB RAM upgrade in the Future?
