I find it depends on the implementation, and experience. My own experience, and still preference, is mostly kb/mouse, but some years ago when my partner wanted to play Fallout 3 on his Xbox 360, we opted to get it for that platform, and I ended up playing the whole game that way, over 300 hours in fact, and got really good at it. It can work fine, if it's a good controller and a good implementation (which Fallout 3 on 360 was).

I must be a miserable old git, you can't beat a Quickshot II Turbo...... I do OK on the Xbox though.

SPDIF and HDMI on an Xbox means you can play Battlefront in HD with 5.1 surround. It rocks and easy as pie to do.

I wholeheartedly agree! Is the Turbo the red QS2 with microswitches?

In fact, I can't imagine being able to play Way of the Exploding Fist on any joypad. (Maybe I will give it a try to find out later? )

Yes, that's the one. I got one with my 800XL back in the early 80's and stuck with them. Brilliant for Star Raiders and F-15 Strike Eagle.

Funnily enough, I tried playing Dead Island on the new PS3 and found the control abysmal.

To be fair, it's a 3rd party Dualshock2 clone, so maybe it's that (I've ordered a DS3 controller, as apparently, I need the new 'home' button to quit games or the PS3 complains about a bad shutdown! I don't know of any other way to do it, otherwise)
The PS controllers just never felt quite right in the hands to me.

Just identified my OG Xbox as revision 1, kernel 4034, so as it goes it's an early version, and I've owned it from new, and in fact still have the box too :)

Cap replaced and everything given a spring clean, looking pretty good:

The Armor All plastic wipes do a very nice job on black plastics, and the original 'Duke' controller also looks fabulous after the Armor All treatment.

I also removed the Xecuter mod, as I really have no need for it to be anything other than an Xbox now, though it was a no solder removal, so if I decide to add it back later, it's just a question of plugging it all back in.

Spanking result. For console/computer cases I wipe down with scent free baby wipes then wd40 and a cloth to polish up. I do the same with guitar amps and GI Joe vehicles. They come up pretty good.

If there's a lot of crud, then baby wipes are a must for sure.
