TOS/CPU/&MORE Upgrades for an STE

Hi guys,

I just finished an upgrade job for a client, it was a stock STE in very nice condition given the following upgrades:

Before any modifications:

Through every part of the incremental upgrades I informed the client with video demonstrations and photographs. The result is a very snazzy STE.

HI Steve

just wondering if you do repairs on a Motherboard has i have managed to get a board which looks like someone has take a blow torch to fix or try ?

Wow that has been warmed and maybe the wrong solder to. Try cleaning with a q tip wet with baking soda then wash isp see what left for traces.

Man, that looks like Russ's motherboard. Are you in Canada... buy it from @Bikerbob ...? :smoke: :sigh:

Man, that looks like Russ's motherboard. Are you in Canada... buy it from @Bikerbob ...? :smoke: :sigh:
No that board was much worse, and I fixed it completely. And sold it for a good price thankyou very much ;)

Congrats on the sale @Bikerbob , you half to admit the shown board resembles pictures Russ posted of his efforts, even the same area of the board and it was an STE if I recall. Maybe the perpitrator of this boards damage went to the same soldering school as Russ. :shrug:

I did wonder who ended up with that board, good job on the repairs!

Well, Paul, Russ used a 1/2" soldering tip.. more like brazing iron, and I then think he fell asleep with it on the board.. LOL...

yeah.. always amazing how people are willing to butcher things when it is so obvious it is the wrong tool for the job.

Ya, I'm sure it was obvious when Russ started with the iron things weren't going well yet Russ forged on. I do miss Russ on the forum. You never know what he was going to do next. I think he hard a big heart, just poor execution on his efforts. He did want to be Exxos's advertsing department.
