Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
It's a mutant... in a good way, like the X-Men.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
So I've gotten some emails and messages regarding my absence from the forum all of this year.
I do apologise for not having responded, it's been a bit rough and I've had to put priorities elsewhere.
There's this beautiful H5 board and donor machine that's been sitting on my workbench for a while now and I'm looking forward to putting it together, and spending some more time with the Ataris in general, when time and energy permits.
Cheers,
--Anders

Brilliant, I was starting to worry about you Anders. Glad you are OK.
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
@agranlund Trust life to get in the way of our retro fun.
Glad you're ok.
Glad you're ok.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
Yes, seems to happen far too often! Hope things settle down to a more normal level soon.
Glad you're back!

Re: Granlunds FrankenSTein
It's funny how much a case can do.
I've been running with the top cover off for a while but as I put it back on nostalgia immediately struck and it dawned on me how much that humble little ST has transformed.
On the outside it looks exactly like it always has but it's really quite neat that I can enjoy tinkering with some of the "modern" Atari things on it today.
I never used an Atari with anything but TOS 1.x and floppies back in the days so exploring what Mint can do is great fun!
From this, with a floppy drive that would maybe work when it was having a good day:
To something actually usable with harddrive, better resolution, multitasking operating system, and the ability to actually keep time and date
Or even something slightly more "modern":
I owe a huge thank you to Terriblefire for his awesome accelerator!
