Emergency light packed in :roll: Bad connection on the battery! Oddly the connections to seem to be solder blobs that had corroded :shrug: Back up and running again now though :D

Now I can get the CPU in and out of of the socket in in less than an hour! and hopefully without destroying the socket & CPU as well now! :lol:

Ooooh, nice. I do like a bit of zero insertion force, those normal sockets are such a sod to get stuff out of.
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...

Yep. Now I think about it the latest firmware could have had a slow down for the ROM. Though I guess it doesn't really matter as ROM is copied into RAM anyway.

I did buy a load of those EPROMs. Really should put them in my store at some point :lol: :roll:
