I think the problem is that this is a "clamp" type block and the Teflon tube does not actually insert into this print nozzle :(

There was a terriblefire

My current theory is that one of the TMC2226 driver modules has failed and caused the board to crash. In doing so turned on EVERY output permanently causing the extruder to go up in smoke :(

Though at that point I did not know it was the driver module.. I changed the motherboard as I had a spare one.. That one came up EEPROM write failure. I know I had that problem with the original board was not sure what I did because it started working by itself. But after about a minute or two that board locked up dropped the USB connection and that was that.

I put my fingers on the driver boards which is how I found out that one of them was getting incredibly hot. There was no 24V power connected on the board even. So I assume the TMC module also killed the second board.

So now ordered a third motherboard off the ye'old Internet

EDIT:

The first motherboard I un-soldered the 3.3V regulator as it was getting incredibly hot.. But long story short, the 3.3V rail was measuring 8ohms

The second board does not appear to be running because the status light is no longer flashing. It no longer connects to the PC so I cannot do anything else with it :(

:sigh:

Yep :(

Oddly it now talks to the STM software and verifies the boot loader now

:WTF:

All I did was unplug the other driver modules. Then it started working again. I plugged them back in and it is still currently working :stars:

EDIT:

Now it's dead again.

:WTF:

EDIT2:

Seems one module gets red hot and another module causes it to crash

I was thinking that. Give it up as a bad job and get an AnyCubic Vyper. :-)
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Looks like my BIQU printer and every other out there. Wheels are on my black list. Has to have linear rails before I would even consider it,
