Introducing myself

Post by 12-MHz »

Hi!

My name is Robert and I am working at my Atari since 1985.
Mostly I repair Ataris from my friends and make some hardware for my Atari ST.
One of this project was the "More than 8 MHz inside your Atari ST".
It was a project to increment the mainboard frequency from 8 MHz up to - in most cases - 12 or 12.5 MHz of your Atari ST.

If you have some trouble with this old hardware, don't hesitate to contact me.

If you got a look to my forum name, you see the relation to this old project.

Regards Robert

Hi Robert,

I downloaded your 12mhz zip file, I am very intrigued but I don't speak any German. Do you have an English translation available?

Also, does running the motherboard at 12mhz greatly benefit speed and benchmarks, I assume it would be very good! Is it stable?

Thx

I haven't read the document so I don't know for sure, but I think it's the bus speed he is changing?

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
