A lot of us here had Spectrums BITD, although I moved onto an ST after my +2. Had a 48K (still do) before that.
I don't know a lot about printing on the ST tbh, but early WPs might just work with serial printers. Programs released later in the STs life (Signum, Papyrus, Atari Write) 'know' about NVDI and it's drivers and should work out of the box (I think) once the printer is configured with the NVDI CPX/accessory.

Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
