Metroidvania esq games for the ST line?
Was just curious if there were any games that fell into this catalog that would be worth checking out ^-^

That's a tough one.
tbh, I can't think of any platformers with an emphasis on puzzles/exploration rather than pixel perfect jumping and not getting shot
The only thing I can think of that comes close is Droid. Looks for Droid SE that came out a couple of years ago for the STE.
It's got a large map and some exploration and it's not a complete bullet fest.

DMA over on Atari Forum suggests the following: (I removed the links as they wouldn't copy/paste)
Ah, Saboteur III maybe?
Also the Dizzy games maybe close to the Metroidvania definition?
The Addams Family and some backtracking elements, but the levels don't got much branching.
Maybe Black Lamp too?
And Nicky Boom maybe.
Even the ones that tick a few boxes just seem like platformers to me. Devs were just too obsessed with platformers at the time

Very few games I remember in the Metroid style "go anywhere map" where you revisit sections. They were more level based.
Shame I like this genre.
