Re: I'm a hopless addict - PC Engine Duo inbound...

Heh. Been a while since I posted, but I can't NOT post on this thread. I got my PC Engine DUO-R on the 25th of May :-D (Got mine with a controller) I can confirm you can just burn the CD images from certain sites to a blank CD-R and they work fine. (I also have an SD Hu-Card now as well) IMG20230525...

Re: Amiga 1000, Kickstart, DiagROM

Re: Amiga 1000, Kickstart, DiagROM

Thanks @stephen_usher.
Working along that path right now. Man it was a pain to remove the RAM. I'll report back once I have new sockets and all "known good" ram in place.

Amiga 1000, Kickstart, DiagROM

Hey all, I've got my long suffering Amiga 1000 on the bench right now, trying to diagnose what ails it. First up Symptoms: It boots up to the Kickstart screen, you insert the Kickstart disk, hit happily chugs along to the reboot stage (Where, from 30 year old memories, it would ask for the Workbench...

Re: Whoops, I did it again! VIC-20 on the way...

Probably "teaching granny to suck eggs" here, and I apologise if I am repeating something you are already doing, but from terrible, terrible personal recent experience, are you making sure all the ROMs have been resized / padded to be the right size before you join them? ( I learned that t...

Is there an open source IDE buffer?

Hey Folks, I see various IDE buffers being sold around the traps, for what seems to be exorbitant prices. Is there any Open Source alternatives out there? Happy to start with just a schematic as I'm happy to use KiCAD to produce an actual board... Primarily targeting the A1200 internal IDE header......

Re: Hi From Adelaide

Good to see another Aussie here on the list.

Nice list there, btw.
Nice score on the sizif BTW. I looked at them but couldn't find resources. Next you need to build an Omega MSX like I did :-D

Cheers!
