Re: XC95144XL & XC95288XL obsolete
The Chinese will be producing or selling them recycled for a long time to come :) We will have to find other chips for projects. As long as there are sources available (vhdl, verilog or equations) we can always use whatever fits. At the most, the time will come to design PCBs for BGA chips. It can b...

Re: C-Lab Combiner reverse-engineering in progress
Hi, Reverse-engineering of the C-Lab Combiner has been completed. I built a clone that behaves identically to the original :) Unfortunately - due to the fact that I didn't have more slots for Atari in 2mm size - I soldered only slot3 position. In a while a set of documents will appear on my www. tOr...

Re: Atari ST OPL3 cart schematics
Hi, In my last PM to nokturnal I suggest use of \ROM3 as \WR so any read from #$FBxxxx should write data stored in registers. Of course - system M68k doesn' have A0 address line, hahaha (I made stoopid mistake there) So it might look like this: [OPL_A0 - Atari A2, OPL A1 - Atari A3] We need to write...

Re: At-once 386sx DIP64 searching and restoring project
^Up Anyone? I know that probably user GadgetUK164 ( https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=452 ) has this version of 386 emulator but I can't contact him. Can someone help with it? For sure I can restore (reverse-engineer) this emulator, I know how to do it, so I ne...

C-Lab Combiner reverse-engineering in progress
Hi, I would like to inform that the schematic of this cartridge switch has been reverse-engineered. The firmware from the protected Altera EP600 chip has also been read and checked. It remains for me to build a working clone based on the restored schematic. When I finish the work - I will post the d...

Chip HD63701V0P instead HD6301V1P1 IKBD
Hi, Out of the need of the moment, I checked the possibility of using another chip in place of the original IKBD HD6301. I found a perfectly matching OTP chip - HD63701V0P, which I programmed with the available firmware and checked in the Atari ST standard keyboard. Everything (keys, mouse, clock) w...
