Exxos PSU last chance to buy

We have just finished packing up the last 21 of the Exxos PSUs. Regrettably I just do not have time to make these any more. Plus with prices of parts increasing a lot and other factors such as them now costing £40 to ship overseas, it has all just become ridiculous. As I said a while back, there is ...

Re: Raven. A homemade Atari-like computer

When I read the Phenix page I get the idea that he was aiming very high, so high his ambitions killed the project (not OS Devs as he says) I don't think, looking at the specs, that the Phenix was going to be anything like an original Atari, While I cannot conclusively say this happened, it is more ...

Re: STFM 4MB RAM EXPANSION SUCCESS

First, thank you for your really wise advice. By separating the wires from each other, it works! I'm curious that you explain this phenomenon to me and why we don't have this with the connected cables (4Mo). It's " Parasitic capacitive coupling " between the two wires. When 4MB ...

Thats because of HTTPS links are not allowed across different domains. If you remove HTTPS, it should work fine.

You could also try this. The black wire can solder anywhere to GND.

Re: STFM 4MB RAM EXPANSION SUCCESS

Just a small observation that your switch is on top of the metal shifter box, if any of those switch contacts just happened to catch the metalwork , then that could also lead to a crash.

Also have you tried separating the 2 wires to the switch ? They should be kept as short as possible also.

Re: exxos blog - random goings on

The drama continues, albeit partly my fault it seems  The original alignment of the PLD is correct, but then JLC "corrected it" and now its wrong. For some reason the pin 1 dot wasn't exported in the silk screen for that package  But then surely JLC would have literally had to ...

I concur also.

Removing the socket can be tricky and often leads to motherboard damages. The golden rule of electronics applies here, if it is not broken, then don't fix it!

Re: Falcon 030 3-in-1 monitor adapter

what is the power requirement for the blowup board ? Around 100mA. The board I got with the Falcon I just bought has a USB A, is it an input for 5v ? Yes. You said not using a phone charger, why ? They tend to have very bad regulation on light loads. I tried to alleviate this problem on later build...
