Re: Atari's and others for sale - USA

Just a heads up, sure many know this, shipping from the US to Europe is generally 2-2.5 times what it cost from Europe to the US. And then there's VAT, if the receiving county collects on small parcels. I've recently used a US outfit called Pirateship that offerers a bit better USPS rates than walki...

Re: Falcon Restoration Project

Here's a troubleshooting tip I discovered by accident. I'd left a removable NVRAM out of it's socket when testing EmuTos. And it boots! While TOS can hang not receiving a signal back from the NVRAM at boot, apparently EmuTos doesn't use the same checks when it boote the machine. This was with EmuTos...

Re: exxos's DFB1 trials

Nice :)

Pain with your hands suck. Makes what use to be fairly easy and fun, work.
Some days are "drop" days, everything you pick up falls from your hand.

OT, pulled a groin muscle over a week ago. Ontop of everything else, now think I'll have to pick up a cane.

Re: DFB1X Falcon booster buyers interests

While back in this thread Badwolf mentioned something about loading EmuTos on the DFBX to customers for testing.

Aside from the Falcon version of EmuTos, will an 030 version (not up to date on all the variants) and say, perhaps NOVA VDI boot?

Have a half baked idea in the dark half of the brain.

Thanks, that was on my mind as well. Working only with the Falcon, and BliTTer always disabled, never tested the HD Driver option.

Re: Falcon 700015003 Rev B

Are you saying the VIN and GND are opposite from the datasheet to the actual chip on the board? I guess, even if that was the case, it's nothing for any Falcon owner to worry about. Think that's what I'm saying  I'm a transmission mechanic, so look at everything as positive and ground :D But k...

Re: Falcon 700015003 Rev B

@jwd I probably should have mentioned before you did the re-cap, but don't forget there are 2x capacitors you need to install in the opposite orientation to factory/stock. You wouldn't have noticed with the originals since they don't bulge. But new caps will start to bulge/malfunction after some us...

Re: Falcon owners with scope, beer, slow weekend

I note the Xaser III PC case in the foreground Mod: Better? Mine? KIMG1487~2.jpg This case came from a build for my son in the late 90's. He'd used his Falcon until 2nd year of Highschool. Pentium somethingoranother built by ABS (wow, googled them, went big time now). Reutilized it again mid-2000's...

Re: Falcon owners with scope, beer, slow weekend

Mod, thanks. Usually use the attach file feature as the site has a file size limit. There, the load progress display and occuring error if the file is too large makes it convenient to determine why an upload failed. The "exact" file size limit of 900k, for me, is difficult to calculate, an...
